How to find your next job in Canada
Posted On July 15, 2021
When it comes to job hunting, Canada is no different than anywhere else, according to a new study from job-hunting website Recode.
According to the study, nearly 4 in 10 Canadians are currently looking for jobs.
That means roughly 1.7 million Canadians are actively searching for jobs right now, and about a million of those are in the U.S.
As for the U, that number jumps to nearly 3 million Canadians, and 1.6 million are actively looking for work.
Recode analyzed job search data from more than 4,200 job boards in Canada from March to June, finding that Canadians were actively searching on average for jobs in Canada at an average rate of 1.2 job postings a day.
That’s higher than any other country in the world, and far higher than the 2.4 job postings per day average in the United States, where only 0.4 jobs per day are available.
Recode found that job searches are on the rise, with more people actively looking than ever before.
But the study found that more than half of Canadians were looking for something else, and a whopping 37% were looking only for one or two job openings.
The study found there are still more than 2.3 million Canadians actively looking across the country.
There are a number of factors that may be driving this trend, including the government’s $1.2 trillion deficit, the slow recovery in the oil and gas industry, and the fact that Canadians are more likely to be looking for new work opportunities than in the past.
But the biggest issue is that more and more Canadians are not looking for a specific job.
A large part of this may be because of the rising cost of living, and how difficult it can be to find work if you have a family or no income.
Recoding the dataRecode’s study found Canada has one of the highest median household incomes in the industrialized world, at $60,000.
At the same time, more and less Canadians are choosing to look for jobs with higher salaries, which may be partially due to a growing number of people choosing to work for a company that has higher salaries.
The study also found that Canadians have become more likely over the past decade to be self-employed, meaning they don’t have a full-time job.
That could be a problem in the case of those looking for part-time jobs, since that is the most common kind of job in the country, with around one in five Canadians working part-timers.
While the report did not provide any data on the number of jobs that are available, it does say that there are currently more than 1.5 million people working in self-employment, up from 1.4 million in 2017.
